Pre Calculus

Through LEVEL UP’s Pre-Calculus 11/12 courses, students are able to develop effective strategies to solve mathematical problems. In addition, students are able to explore, analyze, and apply mathematical ideas in situational contexts. The course focus will be placed on understanding polynomial factoring, rational expressions and equations, quadratic functions and equations, linear and quadratic inequalities, trigonometry and so on.

Calculus

Course curriculum includes learning limits (left and right limits, limits to infinity), visualizing mathematical concepts and relationships, using known facts and benchmarks, partitioning, applying number strategies to approximate limits, derivatives and integrals, and developing different problem-solving strategies (e.g., Which will be the most strategic or efficient).

Physics

In LEVEL UP Physics Course, Students will learn to predict, analyze, and describe an object’s motion in an interesting way. Instructors aim to help students build scientific concepts, learn evidence-based arguments, and develop their appropriate usage of scientific language, conventions and representations. Other key notions will be Newton’s laws of motion and free-body diagrams, thermal equilibrium and specific heat capacity, generation and propagation of waves, properties and behaviors of waves, and characteristics of sound, etc.

Chemistry

Chemistry course focuses on concepts of accuracy and precision to experimental procedures and data recording such as significant figures, uncertainty and scientific notation. The course is designed for learning chemical bonding based on electronegativity, organic compounds, stoichiometric calculations by using significant figures, solubility of molecular and ionic compounds, etc. Through this course students can understand matter and energy that are conserved in chemical reactions.
