Econ

In this course, Students are expected to know macroeconomics and microeconomics, global markets, money and mediums of exchange, demand, supply, and equilibrium, and so on.

The curriculum is designed to develop their awareness on economy and finance, as well as to explore their interest in choosing relevant programs in university application and possible future career path.

 

Social Studies

This course aims to develop students’ understanding of social concepts and issues. Instead of merely delivering information, LEVEL UP uses Social Studies inquiry processes and develops students skills to ask questions, analyze issues of interest by gathering sources, and present their own findings.

The course includes social, cultural, or technological innovations and developments in the 20th century; colonialism and contemporary issues for indigenous people in Canada and around the world; systems of power and governance in global cultures; diversity of B.C. First Peoples territories and communities; rights of individuals in Canada. LEVEL UP promotes students to make reasoned ethical judgments about people, places, events, phenomena, ideas, or developments and determine appropriate ways to respond to social issues.

 

Computer Science

Computer Science (CS) has witnessed a rising popularity in the past decade. In the LEVEL UP CS curriculum, students will learn basic and advanced reasoning and modeling such as algorithms creation and analysis, and mathematical ideas and computer science concepts acquisition. Our instructors dedicatedly create a set of learning strategies to build students’ interest, help them solve problems with persistence and a positive disposition, as well as engage them in fantastic problem-solving experiences.
