ESL (English as Second Language) is for students with native languages other than English. The ESL curriculum is developed to improve English proficiency in both academic learning and daily usage. LEVEL UP’s well-structured ESL program allows students to integrate successfully into the mainstream school program.
When international students arrive in Canada, they are required to take placement tests prior to the regular school start date. The result of the placement test will determine students’ English level and eligibility for the regular programs. Students are normally required to reach a certain ESL level or be out of the ESL program, subject to school district, before they can attend regular courses.
LEVEL UP has the mission to help ESL learners in the public education system get out of ESL programs at a faster pace. We offer tutorials and assessments for ESL learners before they take the ESL level assessment, to help students get into a higher level so that they can finish the ESL program earlier than expected.
